Q&A

Your questions answered.

Meridian is AngelList’s new wealth platform for private markets. It’s a dedicated space for investors to discover and invest in venture capital opportunities, including startups and venture funds.

Built on AngelList’s trusted infrastructure, Meridian connects general partners (GPs) and accredited investors through a streamlined experience for publishing, discovering, and investing in venture capital opportunities.

Learn more about the GP experience on Meridian.

Meridian is part of the AngelList ecosystem and is the dedicated brand for investors. The AngelList infrastructure continues to power the experience for fund managers. This separation ensures investors have a dedicated experience tailored to their needs.

For GPs, nothing changes about how you set up or manage vehicles on AngelList. Meridian sits on top as the investor-facing experience.

Only accredited investors on Meridian can see the opportunities you choose to publish.

You control how each SPV or fund appears, including the amount of information visible and whether investors must request access before viewing more details. You can approve or decline access requests, adjust visibility, or remove an opportunity from Meridian at any time.

For step-by-step guidance on configuring visibility and access controls for your vehicles, visit our Help Center.

There are no costs associated with publishing on Meridian.

For funds and SPVs advised by Platform Advisors, LLC, AngelList will receive 5% of the GP’s carried interest related to the investors sourced through Meridian. For example, if the fund has a 20% carry, the carry on capital committed through Meridian would be split, with AngelList receiving 5% and the GP retaining 15%.

Investors on Meridian are accredited investors who have created an investor profile and added their investment preferences.

The investor base comprises a diverse mix of private market investors, including family offices, founders, and senior executives from across the U.S. and internationally.

Each investor shares information about their background, interests, and typical check size, which Meridian uses to match your SPVs and funds with investors whose stated preferences align with your opportunity.

The Meridian platform only permits access to select accredited investors, and such investors who we believe have established a pre-existing relationship with AngelList as required under Rule 506(b) under Regulation D. As such, we do not believe including your fund on Meridian would result in any fund being seen as generally soliciting. Please consult with your individual counsel for any legal advice. This information is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.

If your SPV or fund meets Meridian’s eligibility criteria, you’ll see a Meridian tab on your vehicle dashboard. More details here on how you can list your deal or fund on Meridian.

Meridian uses a matchmaking engine to connect your SPVs with investors whose stated preferences align with your opportunity, while you retain control over who gets access.

Your current syndicate members remain part of your network, and you can invite them to SPVs on a deal-by-deal basis. Meridian simply changes how new investors discover your opportunities. This makes it easier for serious private market investors to discover and invest in your SPVs, without requiring you to manually manage applications or conduct broad outreach.
